Has appeared in the shops is it the same as normal Gem lettuce.

Sweet Gem isn't the same as little gem, but it's similar - it's a brand name cultivar that was developed as a lettuce hybrid from two others, one of which was the usual gem lettuce.

According to Google if they can eat little gem then they can eat sweet gem, I just don't buy it frequently because little gem is usually cheaper.
