Sweet little Oreo, the little cookie monster

On Sunday night I lost my little boy Oreo from a very sudden respiratory illness probably pneumonia, we took him to the emergency vet and after an excrutiating decision which took me a very long time to make (I kept changing my mind and wanting to try treatment but the vet said she didn't think he'd make the night) I decided to let him go and ease his suffering

I even woke up crying in the morning :/ it just isn't the same without him
I feel guilty that I didn't spot anything earlier but to be honest I'd been checking them all while they were in the runs throughout the day and giving them all titbits when I went out and he seemed completely normal. I don't understand why or how it happened 8...

Oreo was a very special little boy, he was a very loving guinea pig and he loved to look after his girls Indie and Eva, Indie has been missing him especially. Sorry I let you down Cookie monster :( hope you're happy now

I'm so sorry to hear you've lost Oreo so suddenly. You haven't let him down at all though. Sometimes illness strikes so out of the blue there's just nothing we can do.

So sorry you've lost your special little man. You didn't let him down. You made the kindest decision you could have made for him and helped him on his way to the bridge. So sorry you are hurting.

I am so sorry - some things can strike very quickly, and it leaves you absolutely shaken and wondering where you went wrong.

I'm so sorry, love. Big hugs to you, & please don't feel guilty. I know it's easy to say, but I was reading your posts whilst it was all happening & you so clearly did your utmost for him.

He was obviously a very loved pig. I'm so sorry you lost him. Sleep well little one.

Oreo knew how much he was loved, he had a wonderful time with his girlies too x)
 
So sorry for your loss. Don't blame yourself, sometimes it's not easy to spot an illness.
 
I'm sorry for your loss. i recently lost my boy too and its hard to know how we will live without them. Hugs to you at this time :(
