Junior Guinea Pig
we had to make the heartwrencing choice to put out 10-month-old Skittles to sleep Saturday morning, after many hours of worry and fear. i went to check on the piggies on Saturday morning where I could hear her breathing very very weirdly (sounded a bit like a pig with a blocked nose)and she was very lethargic, I rushed her inside and too the car where we went straight to Perth Vet emergency where they put her straight onto oxygen, stabalised her and run some tests. At this point is was about 7am and the unusual pet vet didn't open till 8 am. when we could get in contact with upv we decided to transport her there with the help of an oxygen tank to keep her oxygen levels at a good level, we rushed there where the vet told us that the reason this had happened was probably due to an underlying dental issue, meaning she choked on food, this blocked oxygen flow to her brain long enough to cause permenant damage. when we arrived at upv we decided that the best thing would be to put her to sleep.

we will miss you skittles, you were the sweetest, most timid and scared little baby, but who still had a very big sense of adventure.
love you so so so much
