Yet another surpise passing on the forum.

Last night i laid sweet little Ponyo to rest.

This lovely little girl was only 10 months old but I believe all the illness and stress she had gone through in her short life combined with another swift change in temperature had been to much for her. I was prepared for the fact she would be short lived, that she would catch another respitory infection that would get the better of her, but I wasn't expecting it so soon

At least I can rest assured that her last few months she was well cared for, fed, kept clean, dry and warm. Received the vet care and companionship she needed and was a happy little Guinea.

I am ever so sorry for your loss!

You have given her a loving home and a happy life; that is all you can do as a loving owner - but is also makes all the difference!

RIP Ponyo

Oh that's very sad, I'm sorry to read this. She was loved and knew happiness in your care. Be free and healthy at the Bridge little Ponyo. xx

I'm so sorry for this happening,Its upsetting how many animals have lost their lives due to this heat,I had a rabbit go the other day,I'm thinking it was the weather.

Thank you everyone, it was a bit of a surprise but also unsurprising if that makes any sense :s Rummer.and Romeo barely seem to have noticed that she has gone so at least they are coping. I am.happy to have given her a happy few months, it was all worth it to hear her wheek for the first time.

I am sorry to hear of your rabbit Steven :( this whether really hasn't been good, what is worse is that none of these animals seem to show any real signs of heat distress. I just think it's been hot enough to tip them over the edge so to speek.
