sweet smelly poo?

does anyone know what can cause guinea pigs poo to smell EXTREMELY sweet but in an unpleasant way?

it always seems to be around when my girls come into season. poos start to become a little wet / mushy and just absolutely stink super sweet!

no changes in veg, i feed pellets 2-3 times a week (piggie parcels) could it be the start and stopping of these?

as soon as this happens i obviously stop all veg but it seems to be a regular occurrence now! no other changes or worrying symptoms?
 
I have no experience on this subject but hopefully someone who does will come along soon.
 
I don't have sows so have no experience of this but I wonder if it's a change in hormones.
