Junior Guinea Pig
I cannot believe it's a week and a half since you left us. It seems like forever, and like no time at all. I miss you more than I can say, and so does your harem, especially Rose, who has become very ill since your death. Your presence is conspicuous by its absence, and I still hold my breath waiting for your familiar rumble to echo through the kitchen.
You were not with us for long, Wills, but you touched our hearts. Even the less guinea pig enamoured shed tears at your passing. You were so loved, baby boy.
I wish you had not left us. I suppose your little body had just been through too much. I hope you know that, in the end, you were loved. It makes me heart sad to think about the months before you came to us, and am so very grateful that we trawled the local rescue sites until we came across you. You had my heart in your paw from the day we met, my Rock Star, and you guarded it well.
We buried you under a peony, next to a rose. When the weather is better, we are going to plant some Sweet Williams to remind us of you. It's not you, but it shows that you are still with us in spirit
I miss you, Big Boy. Rest in Peace.
