Sweetcorn Treat

The look like they are all enjoying themselves @Eileen's Mum:drool:. I read somewhere (Can't remember where exactly:doh:) that you have to be careful giving corn on the cob to piggies cos the kernels get stuck in there teeth?:yikes: Is this correct? :hmm: Or a load of old rubbish?:td:

I got hold of some fresh corn at the weekend- I think I found a new favourite veg! Never seen something disappear so quickly :D

I have had this happen with the treated corn on the cob, and had to pull it out of scoobys tooth. However the normal ones form the veg isle in asda didn't seem to be a problem.

That's probably where I read it from then. I'll get mine some fresh corn on the cob and see if the like it.

I don't think i was a member of the forum at the time when that happened. However i think the treated ones, which i have come to learn are no good for the piggies for a variety of reasons are more difficult for them to chew.

No idea about their teeth but they get stuck in mine! I'll check them all over to make sure.

Also, just to note that they didn't have the entire cob, if you look at the link I posted, the cob is removed and only leaves behind a small part, it's mainly the leaves they are eating :)

Aw my piggies would be so jealous! Lucky girls :D The corn silks are a delicacy in my house!

The dried corn cobs you get as "treats" can get caught in their teeth but the fresh corn on the cons are okay as far as I'm aware! My girls love them as an occasional treat :)

Ah, ok, I know the ones you mean. Not sure why anyone would buy those when they can have the real thing fresh and it's cheaper too!

This is the first time the girls have had proper corn and husks. They have loved it. They've had baby sweetcorn before but weren't that impressed with it.
