Piggies can have raw sweetcorn on the cob, including the husks, & raw mini sweetcorn but never tinnned or cooked veg :)

Mine looooove sweetcorn....boiled corn on the cob......corn from a tin.....corn from sundaydinner (minus the gravy)....drool

but never tinnned or cooked veg :)

Oh dear I've always given my boys cooked sweetcorn (corn on the cob) or from the tin....:{ i was advised in my piggie book from the rspca....obv. i dont serve it hot i wait till it cools....?/ you learn something new everyday oops!

Okay don't take my advice might be incorrect. sorry!

What happens if it's cooked?

I don't know mine have cooked sweetcorn once a fortnight and have done for the past year and a half :...8...:{ please dont feed them cooked veggies i might be wrong!

Well really you destroy the vitamin C in veg if you cook it, & tinned veg usually has salt/sugar added to it & is usually blanched or part cooked as well.

Raw is best! Lol! :))

Can they have them treat corn things ? on the cob you always see in pet shops, I'm sure i saw somewhere they were bad or something ?

Ohhhhhh. Good. i thought I was poising them for a second then, my boys love their sweetcorn i always get if fresh from the supermarket then boil it and leave it to cool for two hours and then serve a small portion to them and the chicks. Harvey is espically prone to munching on sweetcorn x)

I wouldn't personally give them, they are usually high in sugar. My poor piggies never get treats except veggie ones :redrolleyes

Think of all the time you'll save not cooking it for them lol!

Haha! I think Harvey takes great pleasure in seeing his slave, quite literally slaving over a pan of boiling water after a long days work rolleyes

Blade - I found you - that sounds stalkerish! haha. :) just left you a post on petforum :) hehe.

mine have sweetcorn just on the cob none cooked

My boys will destroy a raw corn on the cob until every last molecule of sweetcorn kernel is gone but oddly they dont like baby sweetcorn rolleyes
