swimming ?

hi again,

i was just wondering if anyone knew if guinea pigs know how to swim ? i have never tried this and never will. my piggies cant stand the thought of even taking a bath. i was watching my three boars running around the garden and started imagining them in huge packs in the wild. I'm just asking out of curiosity... ::)
 
I think they swim if they HAVE to, but not sure whether they would choose to do it. Going by how mine react in a bath, i'd say they don't like it lol

Either people think its very cruel, or cute to watch a guinea pig swimming.
I'm not sure if they enjoy it or not, its very hard to tell from these videos. Either way, I dont think its at all worth the risk to do this to a piggy.
 
i would think jessie would swim ::) ::) ::) but zoe would most probably float there and say you put me in you take me out, she has that look down pat down :smitten:

hey .. just watched that clip on you tube.. not sure i liked watching it though.. i wont be trying this with my piggies but thanks for answering my question ;D .. i think that poor pig was looking for somewhere to get out from .. so i guess if they have to swim in the wild they wouldnt have a problem.. i guess no arm bands required right ?! hehehehe ::)
 
From my experience, guinea pigs don't seem to like being in water at all and of course, they're swimming on the Youtube video - they're trying their hardest to get out the water because they're scared. >:(
 
OMG! That is SO cruel, surely? Don't people have anything better to do with their time? (Don't answer that!) :( >:(
