Switching hay

I got a bad batch of Timothy that the boys refused so I gave them some orchard that I had on hand, and they seemed to love it so I ordered a ten pound box.

They have been eating it for 36 hours and I noticed both boys kinda have pointy poo.

I have a new ten pound box of Timothy, two bags of orchard, and the ten pound box of orchard on the way.

Shall I do half and half for a while while I'm switching them to orchard? How do I switch hay without causing pointy poo?

I’m not sure about pointy poo as my piggies haven’t had that but I’d probably do that - mix with their usual hay
I tend to gradually introduce a new hay over a couple of wks
have you increased their veg as sometimes that can cause pointy poo
I’m sure someone will be along to answer and offer advice

Yes I’d offer a mixture of the two hays for a few days. Keep an eye on the poops.
