Morning!

I've had Rufus & Rodney 5 days now & have been trying to move them from their old food (Gerty I think) onto Burgess Pellets. Every day they fish out the old food & leave the pellets. From the look of it they've not even attempted to take a bite! How do I do this, the old food is almost gone now & I don't want them eating it! But I'll have to buy some if they're not going to eat?!Do I go for the kill & just give them pellets & expect them to eat cos they'll be hungry?!

Also, I know they are meant to eat a variety of veg but the only thing they seem to want to eat is Kale! They'll nibble carrot, and love sweetcorn both of which I know they can't have too often. Not interested in Broccoli, or Pepper... but the Kale goes in seconds. I've given them that every day so far along with something new to try, are they ok to have Kale everyday? I'm thinking they're not getting enough variety but they don't seem to want anything else?!
They are only teeny tots tho so I guess maybe they'll try more stuff when they get older....?!

Keep trying I havent managed to switch mine to pellet's yet, you could try a different brand mine like burgess blackcurrant and oregano and science selective but if wagg's on offer they will eat that more. Mine love kale too but only bought from sainsburys which is 98p gor a 500g bag on the market it's £1 for a carrier bag! and they won't touch it. i give mine a selction and change it often sometimes they eat it all sometimes they leave bits, they are pig's tho so i am sure your's will get less fussy:))

Hmm maybe I'll buy the blackcurrant this weekend then, the pellets do look big & unappealing I must admit.. Blessyours for only liking sainsburys haha, ive been buying tesco's, I'm just assuming they'll have expensive taste ;)

I swapped mine from Gerty to Wagg guinea pig crunch over a couple of weeks plus it's taken me about 2 months to get some of the older pigs to eat the selective (we give them half wagg and half selective) but the mini pigs prefer selective to wagg. Mine hate Burgess muesli to the point where they wee on it so I've never tried the Burgess pellets. I've found that as my piggies have got older their taste in veggies has changed - Fudge however has never been a fan of kale, broccoli or sprouts although he does love pineapple, melon and banana. Daisy wouldn't eat carrot or melon until she had Autumn living with her. None of mine will eat pepper

Hi, yes I would recommend te burgess blackcurrant and oregano:))

My boars weren't really fussed about the normal pellets but they go mad for the blackcurrant ones also my sows do too and they smell wonderfuldrool

Ah yep I'll deffo buy the blackcurrant one then hopefully they'll go mad for it... Little monkeys! ;)
