Adult Guinea Pig
Hiya!
So I cleaned out my girls today and I was trimming their nails when I noticed Ambers feet were a bit more... round? Then I looked closely and noticed they were actually swollen. Well I think they are anyway, I have no idea when they got swollen? and I don't think they are normally, I'm pretty sure I would have noticed that she had big feet before when I've trimmed nails.
I must point out when she was walking she didn't seem to be walking differently or in any pain or anything. When I went to trim her feet she did pull back when I gripped her foot (not hard just to make sure she didn't jump) and I had to leave her left foot because she just wouldn't keep it still and started to wiggle around a lot.
I know about bumblefoot, however it just seems it just seems to be swollen with not obvious scabs or cuts and its not bleeding or anything.
Could it be something other than bumblefoot?
They bedding is sawdust (which I'm going to change). They get cleaned out once a week with spot cleaning throughout the week.
I've been looking into what veggies have high calcium and the majority of things we give them are high calcium (kale, parsley) so I was wondering could it be something related to to much calcium?
