Hi everyone,
My darling guinea pig Marlene has developed a swelling under her neck and took her to the vets last week to get checked out. The vet told me that some antibiotics should sort her out as it was a build up of fluid. 7 days later and the swelling is still there but a bald patch on the swollen part too now which appeared on Thursday. I took her back to the vet today and they have given me some antiseptic solution to wipe the bald patch with and have told me to go back in a few days for a ringworm test. Does anyone know if these are symptoms for ring worm, if not what else could it be? She doesn't seem to be suffering or in any pain. She is still eating and moving around as normal but I tend to worry about her as she can't tell me if she's in any pain. Has anyone experienced similar symptoms with their piggy? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
