That's so annoying. That makes me angry! An old-school vet stuck in his ways by the sounds of it xI will ask about the mentioned meds. Every time I've mentioned something from on here to my old vet it got shrugged off tho
All I can find is Infacol? I've read that's not ideal?
No I haven't and I would be hesitant to. What drugs did the vet give? Were you given any drugs to give at home?@furryfriends Excellent Adventure Sanctuary have you ever used olive oil?
In an earlier post Ishy mentioned Fibreplex and Baytril. Hope that helps you to advise xNo I haven't and I would be hesitant to. What drugs did the vet give? Were you given any drugs to give at home?
Just given some Fibreplex and was told to start the Baytril tomorrow
Sorry for my outburst just feel guilty I can't do as much as I need to.
From what I understand, his breathing is of concern too? Is that correct? Had he stopped eating properly because of his breathing problem? I am just trying to figure out what could have caused the bloat and I am thinking that maybe he wasn't eating much due to having a respiratory infection and the lack of food passing through his system caused him to become gassy. I am just worried that he needs some proper gut mobility drugs but you do say that he is eating a little now so that is good. Have you syringe fed him at all? My concern about this is that with having a respiratory problem, it could make him more susceptible to aspirating syringe food, and we really don't want that to happen. Is he moving around at all? The more he moves about the more likely he is to pass any gas and get things moving well in his guts.Just given some Fibreplex and was told to start the Baytril tomorrow
