Bella has got a swollen back toe. I have touched and prodded it and she doesn't seem to mind. It's a bit red but looks fine underneath. Any suggestions?

It could be a hair or hay wrapped around the base of the toe, this has happened to two of my piggies, sadly one lost his toe. She needs to see a vet asap to have the tight band removed if possible

Is the toe still red or swollen?
If so I would have her seen by a vet.
This happened to one of my old guinea pigs and it turned out to be the start of a nail bed infection which proved very tricky to treat, and almost resulted in the loss of her toe.
I would get her along to a vet just to rule out anything major.

one of mine had a swollen toe.... couldn't see anything but i still got it looked at by the vet for my peace of mind x

Could she have caught her toe or toe nail on anything?

My Edward unfortunately managed to rip his entire toenail out. His toe became slightly red and swelled up but thankfully a vet check confirmed it wasn't infected or anything and it soon went down after being bathed in salt water.

Please see a vet and have her checked out if only for peace of mind

Seems fine now I kept an eye on it and was going to phone the vet but by the next day it was a lot better. Must have caught it or something.

That must be a great relief for you!
