I just wanted to know if anyone had any advice as my poor guinea pig, Winnie, has a very swollen eye that appears to be really uncomfortable and painful for her. I've seen some threads saying that their pigs have just weepy eyes or the liquid is a yellow colour. However Winnie has a milky-white coloured liquid coming from her swollen eye. She can't open it all the way. Yesterday morning I found her with a large seed stuck in her eye that she must have unfortunately picked up and got stuck. I got rid of it thinking she would feel better however this morning I found her with her eye in this state. I was thinking it could be infected? I've attached a picture if it helps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please see a vet promptly; only he can properly examine the eye and give you appropriate treatment. It sounds like she has sustained some painful/irritating damage. Hopefully, with the correct eye drops, the eye will heal fairly quickly again.
