I’ve had a look through the existing threads and can’t find what i’m looking for
We’re syringe feeding Science Selective Recovery Plus at the moment following the recommendation from our vet
He does seem to be eating more on his own now but he’s currently on antibiotics so want to continue in a smaller amount for mainly the prebiotics/probiotics whilst he’s on them
However he’s really not a big fan of this and it’s really difficult to get him to have some t
I’m going to try a tip i’ve seen about mixing it with some suitable baby food but i’ve also seen with the Oxbow Critical Care that it can be sprinkled on top of their food when they start eating by themselves again as well
I was just wondering if anyone knows if you can do the same with the Science Selective one? I’ve had a look myself and can’t see anything

I’ve only used the Oxbow aniseed flavour critical care but found that mashing a small piece of banana in went down well with mine.

Last time I had a piggy who needed syringe feeding this is what I did.
Micah loved it , so did his cagemate Ruth who would literally snatch the syringe out of his mouth.
I had to make up 2 syringes so they both had one.

Another tip for encouraging a piggy to eat on their own is to put a small dish, like a ramekin, in the cage with some raw oats mixed with grated carrot or sweet potato.

Hope your boy makes a full recovery soon
