I am just now getting to making this thread. You may remember the two little sweeties I posted very recent about entering the world! Both are no longer with us. One passed during the first night, and the other two days after. Very unexpected and heartbreaking as I've never had any go like this. I always check any little ones who come and watch them close (which is easy with them being in my bedroom), and they were both active and vocal and chasing their mum, and there were no signs that I saw of illness or even deformity. You get very attached the moment they arrive into your life, and no matter how short you know them, they are special! These two little boars didn't make it to getting a name (.....I take forever naming), but still watching them scoot around and scream with the others when the others demanded they be fed again after they ate an hour beforehand was time well spent. Rest in peace little ones!

Very sorry they didn't make it. You did everything in your power, life is just very cruel sometimes!

As always, a stunning photograph to remember them by!

Oh I'm so sorry. They were both so gorgeous. :(

How about naming them Scoot and Scream in memory? =)

Thank you very much! I think giving them those names is a great idea, thank you! We'll have the little tri-colour as Scoot and the chocolate and white as Scream; as he really knew how to! :)

I am very sorry for your loss; they were a very cute pair!

About one fifth of piggy births go wrong on average, often for no obvious reason and despite the best of care. That includes the babies who sadly never make it; they are very vulnerable due to their small body mass and not yet well established immune system, and they can go downhill extremely quickly. This is one of the reasons why we are a non-breeding forum. The emotional fall-out when mum or pups die is usually pretty massive, especially when the babies were live-born. There is nothing more gutting and upsetting than a little cutie come into life just to stumble out of it again. :(

Oh I'm so sorry for your loss, what a tragedy. RIP little ones *hugs*

Very sorry for your loss.

Sleep well little ones.
RIP Piggies
x x

Oh that's so sad :( Sleep tight little Scoot and Scream xx

So sorry to hear this sad news. Run free over the Bridge Scoot and Scream, know you were loved for every short minute you were here. X

Thank you all very much for your words. They were very beautiful, weren't they? xx

Thank you again for all the new condolences. At least for their short time they seemed to enjoy themselves if anything.

I'm so very sorry for your loss, its always hard losing your loving pets but even more so when they are just babies and did not even get a chance to live I recently went through this when my pig I rescued from a bad situation had 4 lovely babies and at first they all looked normal and it was not till the morning after I realized that the youngest baby (the runt) was born without the use of his two front legs tho even this did not stop him from trying to chase his siblings anyway he lived for a week and i fed him goats milk and i really thought he would pull through cause he was such a trooper but unfortunately at the end of the week he went on to rainbow bridge anyway I'm sorry agian for your loss and sorry if the post was really long just wanted you to know that i understand what your going through.

I'm so sorry. They were both so beautiful and innocent and defiantly taken too soon and too young. Sleep tight little babies x :(
