Guinea Pig logic is so confusing! Patchy and Coco love their weekly cabbage, any cabbage but only if I cut it for them, if any one else cuts it for them they refuse to eat it and i'm left to clean up untouched trampled on cabbage. My partner feeds them at night time and they eat everything he dishes out for them except cabbage. I'm not sure if it's how he cuts it or because of the way I scatter it differently but they will just look at him with judgey disappointed eyes (his words) and put their nose up at it. I think he is quite offended lol. I think it's because when I cut it it's cut with love, it just makes it better lol.

😂😂😂 sorry to your partner though! That’s really weird! Does he cut it the same way as you? You should experiment one day and both of you cut some up. See which one the piggies will eat.

Today my husband complained because when we walked in after returning from choir, the girls wheeked a little and the boys came out of their boxes to greet me! Apparently they’re discriminatory because when he walked in, they didn’t do anything 😳🤣 not sure what to say to that! They do generally start chatting and wheek a little/come to greet me when I come in.

I think they’re more clever than people (non piggy slaves) give them credit for!

No he cuts it in chunks and plonks it in a pile in their cage and I shred it quite thin and scatter the slivers. He chunks the lettuce and they will eat it but they have a thing about who cuts their cabbage, i'd love to know what it is.

They are very clever and quite entertaining with their weird quirks.

If I cut carrot an kale they eat it. If Nyone else does they don't. I think it's because they then try and tell me they don't like it and want a second dinner. That only ever worked once and we realised what had happened.

Mine will eat sprout leaves and refuse the chopped off tops. They only eat cauliflower leaf if I take it off the stalk first.

Mine will eat a whole broccollini always but only eat broccolli when they feel like it and only the parts they want to at the time which will vary but otherwise they are not that fussy about what they eat but at times they go off a food but will eat it again as soon as it's cut up a different way like it's a brand new food they've never had before. They are so gullible.

I have 3 pairs of boars living in their own cages. Te weird thing is if we are having a fussy we're not having that day in one cage it spreads out to the others. I'm convinced they communicate between the cages and cook up a plan, there can't be something wrong with the food as next day they eat whatever it was happily.

Typical! It is a bit weird though that they all go off their food a the same time though.
