So I was just wondering if anyone could give me any ideas...

My guinea pigs are both one years old and they have never been outside EVER and I don't own a hutch or anything like that.
Even though it's winter now, when spring comes round, I want to take them outside for a little bit (supervised of course) so they can just have some fun on the grass and romp.
I'm not sure how to do this. I have a little area in my yard that's fenced in (my Pomeranian dogs use to play there) but the bars are too wide and they could easily escape. I was thinking about putting them in a little wagon and just pulling them but, then again, I want them to enjoy the grass and just have fun!
The only option I see is buying some sort of enclosed pen with no bottom.
What does everyone else do to take their pigs outside?
Just a fun thought.

Here is what I use, it’s two pens hooked together, and actually now I’ve added some c and c grids to make it bigger. As you can see we all get in there with them! They have time alone in there too so they can munch on grass, but I sit right next to it the whole time they are outside.

Just checking... Do you still have dogs? If so. be careful you don't let your guinea's go on grass that has dog wee on.

This is a good thread about grass time

Feeding Grass And Preparing Your Piggies For Lawn Time

Personally, I like the runaround system for runs

Runs, hutches, rabbit and guinea housing with freedom and flexibility

Yes but they don't go in the yard anymore (they're seniors so they stay on the patio).
Oh okay I will check the thread out thank you

Ok I would be very careful because today I took my guinea pig out and he tried to escape luckily I saw him and managed to grab him and call my dad to help come free him I would advise getting a run you’ll easily find one and my guinea pig loves it 👍

I use a small cat/dog playpen for my piggy.
