Do you talk to your pigs about things only you each of you can understand? Yesterday out of a random thought I told my pig he was the best piggy in the whole world. I swear the pig smiled took a deep breath and fell asleep. I was so happy just to be part of his life.

So what do you say to your piggys?

Yup Frank i sure did chat away, particularly when i was so close to Duke and feeding him so often.
I'd chat away about all the sick piggies 8... and our special friends who are on here x)x)x)
And now i chat to Dee's puppy Bella and to Tommy to :))

oh i talk to mine too

in the moring i say hello to them then tell them are we going to have some breakfast now and tea time i say are we going to have some tea now

somtimes ifi stand at the door and one is at the frount of the cage and i ask them what thier doing thier kinda put thier head in the air and nod

but i dont think thier know what I'm saying

I am always talking to my Bob and hubby does too! l talk to him about alsorts of things to be honest, yesterday when l was having a natter to him he started sweaking! So l guess he was answering me back LOL

Andy and I talk to our piggies all the time and ask them what they're up to etc, they may not understand the words, but they understand the tone in your voice and can hear the love

I talk to my piggies all the time. When I am outside, the neighbours must think that I'm nuts rolleyes I also talk to my gerbils and cat. My pets know my deepest secrets :x and are great listeners x

I talk to mine all day long and sing to them in the morning when I clean them out. Holly stays in the run with me and tries to get in the dustpan when I sweep up the poo's - I sing Miss Holly had a Dolly too her and she looks at me with her big beautiful eyes - the other girls run off into the bedroom as if to say Oh no mums singing again :))

lol,i sing to my piggies too. maggie-may loves it, she looks up with her enormous eyes and makes my heart melt

OMG ... I talk to mine all the time like they are babies .... piggie wiggies is my favourite and my kids and partner look at me like I am mad, god knows what the neighbours think when I am in the garden !

You mean there's people out there that don't talk to their pets? I talk to my piggies all the time, and to my cat, about anything and everything.

Ohhhhhhhh yes. I talk to my little ones a lot and my boyfriend just looks at me like I'm crazy :)) !

I always talk to them. I tell them things.

I started telling Nigel he was my best boy. Then I pointed out to him that, as he was my only boy, he was also my worst boy. So now I say "best boy, worst boy" to him all the time.

My piggies live in my living room, so they are definitely part of the family.

But if you think excentric - my previous lot, Minx and Mischief, liked their daily "walkie" in my garden year round (even if it was just to make sure that it was really nasty weather outside).

I used to call them back with "tsk, tsk ,tsk, cucumber, cucumber, come on, come on!" - which has earned me more than one strange look from my retired neighbour! Once, a builder nearly fell off the roof next door, when the piggies came bounding straight out of the border back into the run to get their treat.

Oh, yes, and after a while, the starlings cottoned on, as I used to refill the bird food at the same time. Even two years on, I still get a flock of starlings flying in plus a crow or two on my guinea pig recall!

I always talk to mine, they are my babies. I sometimes sing, but then they all run and hide lol or I say "how are my little darlings" I have to sometimes shout though at Samson cos he is harrasing Dylan, stressing him out. I also say when I feed them "was that nice" and call them my little darlings! Mark just looks at me sometimes to say "what the heck you doing".

Haha ofcourse! I talk to them, my cats, my pups. Haha, I think I spend more time chatting with them than I do with people. :p

Oh my goodness, of course I talk to my girls, they are my babies and I am their mummy. rolleyes
I just talk to them as though they totally understand me (of course I actually think they do!) and unfortunatly when the rumbling gets too much I do have to get cross and tell them to leave each other alone xx>>>

I can't even remember half the stuff I talk about to them. There is the usual "who wants some veggies" etc.. but sometimes turns to whispering in their ears when they are having a cuddle. I say things like "george you have been naughty today being mean to tiger but you are mummies favourite and if you keep being mean to tiger he might be mummies favourite instead so you need to be nice" :)) I tell him not to tell tiger then tell tiger he is mummies favourite and not to tell george :))

I usually tell them about how they are going to the vets but they will get a extra big piece of carrot when they get home etc..

I always use a soothing voice so could be saying anything really as they don't know what I am on about.

I love to heckle them too (in a nice voice though). When george is in the paypen and sniffing the air I always shout "look at that lip" as his bottom lip is fat and pink and so cute!

i talk to my pigs constantly n i like to think they can understand me lol! they definatly understand the word veg (the tone of it) they go mad squeeking wen i say it!

i talk to mine!
I say goodmorning and "breakfast time" then i say hello to them when i come in and ask them if they've had a good day, they run around in response then its "din dins time"! I say goodnight to them before i head up to bed too! I like talkin to them and i know they like to listen!

I talk to mine loads - think they maybe get fed up with listening sometimes!

They espcially like the phrase ''whats in the veggie bags today'' :)) And I always go out to the shed just before I go to bed to say Goodnight :)

Teresa x

I always shout night fatties to the boys and night girls to the girls when I go to bed!
We talk to the piggies and our rabbit Snarf all day long!

yep I'm always talking to my two when I get up in the morning I always say hello mummys babies....then i have a conversation with smudgie whilst I'm wrapping him up to give him his antibiotics then I say to Coco that smudgie won't be away from her too long.I always say goodbye to them as I leave for work & I ask them if they've missed me when I get back....hubby thinks I'm loopy but I've heard him talking to them as well! I think I get more sense out of the guineas than him anyway
