Poor old Ted is not eating too well and taking a long time to chew his food. He is fine in this self and still eating but quite slowly. Luckily brought forward their appointment for Monday next week so having some syringe feed top-ups for now, couldn’t get a double Appoinment this week.

Thank you, I’m a little worried because he was not due till the end of November, so he’s started to struggle a little earlier than usual 😔

Oh no poor Ted. Come on Ted, keep chewing down your hay and veggies and don't let your mummy worry too much

Hope Ted is OK, can you swap pigs for appointments or not? Does Bill need the dental treatment aswell soon

Fingers crossed that Simon can sort him out, hopefully it’s just a blip and nothing to be really concerned about x

All the best for getting him through the week and for Simon sort him out again!

Over time, you become attuned to the subtle changes in eating with a dental piggy and can react much more quickly than at first and catch the problem before it becomes really bad. You also know when to step in with support to bridge the time until you can see your vet half across the country! :tu:

yes, feel like an old hand now after last year!

thanks for all your lovely messages for Ted everyonex He is just tucking into some dandelion leaves and then he’ll have a top up of Critical Care. Only trouble, Bill is nicking his food because he’s so slow, so I’m having a “vegetable dress” at the moment, covered in grass and dandelion bits, eh what we do for our little furries! 😆

I’m going to start separating Smokey and Bacon for feeding pellets, as Bacon always goes for hay for a while before he goes for the pellets.
I will put one on the top floor of the hutch and one at the bottom just to make sure they’re getting enough, are you or can you do that?

Try scatter feeding first, see if that helps?
