Teddie Bauld Patches

Hi I need help I've just bought 2 teddie piggies they have dry flakey skin and bauld patches on their bums and their bellys I have bought some drops for mites incase it's that but wanted to know if anyone might know what it is

My best guess is mites but without seeing them and not being a vet i cant tell......but as skin conditions can be easily confused you should take them to a vet if you are unsure.

One of my teddies always has flaky skin though she is not bald or itchy though. She has been vet checked of course.

Of course it could be fungal, ringworm or lice.....best to get a vet check i think.

Yes I agree they need to see the vet. My first thought is fungal as teddies can be prone to it but like Goth Mummy says it could also be mites. They can even get a combination problem.

My Mr Ted is a teddy type and has flaky skin. Best to get it checked out by the vet, though.

Thanks for the advice they have a allergy to type of saw dust I had the vet thinks

Glad Its not something serious. Check out the bedding reviews in the housing sections there are lots of alternatives available which are kinder to piggies skin / lungs x
