Just trying to nod off to sleep when I get jolted awake from a screeching from the next room. I go to investigate and find the following:

Beautiful Teddy Bear. Running ON his squeaky wheel! It's never sounded like that before though. Mind you, he looks so cute on it, I can forgive him!

You'll have to turn the sound right up to get the full effect...

He hasn't until recently...I think he does it out of protest - he has a go in his ball in the evening before we go to bed. If he doesn't feel he's been out for long enough, he goes on his wheel! I'm sure he knows it annoys us so he can come out again...rolleyes
 
We had a Hammy called Teddy who was very energetic, best Hammy we ever had! Our Hamster at the moment is called Slinky, he has found his wheel and he loves to keep us awake at night lol
 
ha ha thats the same cage my mates hamster has, he comes to stay at my house and is coming for nearly 3 weeks in August i cant wait, i have seen him in his squeaky wheel loads of times but never on the top...I'm going to train him lol

From the back Teddy looks like hes on a stepper in the gym!
 
Oh bless him, is that cage a Peggy metro? You'd be able to fit a Karlie Wonderland (syrian sized) or a Junior Wodent wheel in there which wouldn't squeak if that helps?

I have that wheel and my syrian never touched it but then i got him a much bigger rat sized wheel and he used it all the time and my hammy was much smaller than your's, cute and funny hammy tho i miss mine:(
 
Hi,
He is doing it because the wheel is too small. The one that comes with the Metro is just big enough for a dwarf. For a Syrian he needs a wonderland or wodent wheel. Neither fit in the Peggy metro. The one he has will wreck his back over time.
 
Lol! That is so cute and funny. You sure need to go and buy a bigger wheel!

So cute,:)):)). They say that hamsters can travel up to three miles a night in the wild.:)) Can you confirm this do you think.rolleyes
