Ted’s has a Growth in his ear 😢

Everything crossed for a good result from the biopsy, but whatever happens you have absolutely made the right decision for Ted today.

I do hope it doesn't turn out to be anything serious.
We have paws and fingers crossed for Ted.

Ok. Not a lot more you can do. Biopsy result will determin next steps.
How is the little guy. Course he not be aware of it.
Positive vibes guys. love me and me piggies

aww poor Ted :(

I hope that the results of the biopsy come back positive. We will keep our fingers and paws crossed here.

When did you first notice it? Has it increased in size quickly?
I noticed it last Friday evening to begin with, showed other half and he said it was nothing and to stop mithering him. But had a good look on Saturday and it was a round lump odd shaped attached to the back of his ear and towards the cheek, it’s really odd looking. I think it’s about the same, but so difficult to tell, one sides like a double ball but other blends into the skin at the front of the ear. He does not seem bothered by it, no scratching or sensitivity, apart from yesterday after failed biopsy sample and then again today with a small slice out, he’s more guarded now. But out on lawn and all happy again. Doesn’t look at all like an abscess.

Could it have been there for a long time, or all along and you've only just noticed it? Just a thought!

\Sending lots of love x

I don’t think it could have been there for long as I’m sure I would have noticed it. He went to see Simon on 28 February for dental and I’m sure either he or I would have seen it then. I usually pretty vigilant. Simon did comment on that funny tooth and said he though he might have had an abscess at some time that’s caused that tooth to go all wonky? But the time before that he thought that the tooth was either split or had a peg tooth growing next to it? I’ve never seen any swellings on him at all so I’m at a loss really. Suppose we will have to see what the results of the biopsy are, and take it from there. She didn’t sound very optimistic about the op even if it was benign to be honest.

See what it comes back as, but personally I would be leaving well alone. How old is Ted?

I am pretty sure I have had a guinea pig with something like that in his ear. Poppet's was a small lump, more like a wart, so very different to Ted's. However, the piggy who had the lump, more similar to Ted's, didn't have any treatment for it. I just presumed it was some sort of abnormality that the piggy had been born with, but I hadn't initially noticed it.

Ted is 4 on the 6th April so hope he makes it for his birthday! That’s really strange about that piggie as one of Ted’s ears stuck up more than the other when he was little, if I remember correctly. I’m going to have to look at photos later, got granddaughters concerts tonight. He is acting just his normal happy self and still trusting me dispite his ordeal over the last two days. I do check their ears occasionally, Ted has really quite long hair on them and most of it is black, but I do think I would have noticed this thing before now.
