Hi my guinea pig recently has been chattering his teeth and I read up on the internet that it could be that he is lonely. Is that true?

mine does this occasionally when i hold him i just thought he needed to chew as they are constantly eating but i have just checked up on the Internet and it says its a sign of anger when they are ticked off :tickedoff:
Teeth chattering: sustained (signal of anger, aggression, warning)

Yes, he's probably a bit nervous of you. This is his way of saying 'back off!'.

My grumpy guinea pig is very comfortable with me but still occasionally chatters his teeth at me. ::)

I just leave him alone when he signals me like this. He doesn't stay ticked off at me for long - I bring the veg, after all! ;D

Yeah well thanks you guys now I know to put him back in his cage when he chatters. O0
