Hello!
I have had my two boars for just over a month now.
They are both still teeth chattering at me when they know they’re about to be picked up. Once they’re picked up their fine and stop instantly. I’ve tried using hideys and tunnels for them to run into to then be picked up but when I put them in they teeth chatter anyway as they know what’s coming next and they try to dodge them which causes more stress.
Is this normal?
I know it hasn’t been that long since I got them but I feel bad that they’ll still chatter at me 😅

(A picture of them their enjoying their veggies 🤣 ...)

Hi!

Most piggies don't like being picked up as it cuts very close to their prey animal instincts.

These guides show you how you can work around the problem:

What gorgeous piggies.

It takes time and patience with piggies and most will never like being picked up no matter what you do.
It took me nearly 6 months before my Phoebe stopped being really skittish and scared of me

That’s good to know thank you! I know I just need to be more patient haha! Yeah they’re such lovely piggies we’re very lucky! 🥰
