I just wanted to ask your advice.

Tonight when I went out to check the piggys I saw that twiglet was sat by the nugget bowl so I thought he was munching on his burgess, however I then noticed that he continued to munch for the next half an hour so I guessed this was something else. I just wondered is it normal for piggys to be grinding their teeth or what appears to be chewing as it has made me wonder if I need to take him to the vets for a check over.

Hey, it could be possible he is still chewing food in his mouth? Is Twiglet pawing at his mouth or masticating or an over exaggerated chew? If you offer him some food now will he eat it no problem?

oh yes he is eating food fine, just seems to be chewig his food alot or maybe just moving his jaw. Everything else seems normal.

I would have his teeth checked to be on the safe side if you are worried. Weigh him daily to check his actual food intake.
