have had to take Georgina to the vets twice in a very short time for her teeth. The first time the lower front teeth had grown long and slanted to the side causing her problems with eating. She had them ground down and started eating within hours of coming home gaining back some of her weight. Just over 6 months later I noticed she wasn't eating well and was becoming quiet. So had a look and the top front teeth had over grown. So fed with mushy pellets over night and back to the vets next day.
Her teeth were ground down again by an older vet. He said her bottom teeth had stopped growing because of her age ( she is about 4 and a half - rescue pig). Now I am sure that does not happen or all piggies would have teeth problems as they grow older. have to go back in 2 months to check again. Once again she started eating very quickly although I did carry on syringe feeding for a few days until she was active and eating again although she still has problems with larger leaves.
Any thoughts on why her teeth arn't growing and anything we can do for her. She eats loads of hay some pellets and fresh greens every day had apple twigs to gnaw and toys
