Just noticed today that izzy ( who has conjunctivitis and being treated) now has a broken lower tooth. He's eating normally but I also noticed the top two teeth are brown on the end . Is this old age and should I be worried ?

The top ones look uneven too but that could be because they are not wearing properly. Do you know how long they have been like this? I can't comment on the brown as am not too sure. It is good he is eating ok.

I need to look at the top ones again. It happened today as I took him to the vets last night and we didn't notice anything . The vet gave him a check all over and checked his teeth . I said I was aware that if they are ill they can stop eating them the teeth over grow. She looked inside all fine .
Yep he's picking up god food ok but I'll keep an eye on him . He's 8 years old and a bit lazy very mucky back area which I've had to cut off dreaded hair !

This broken tooth happened over last day or so. Uneven teeth but he's eating ok .... I'll just keep checking him

It is good that he is still eating ok, are you able to get to Northampton at all? There is a great vet at the Cat and Rabbit clinic who deals with dental issues all the time.

Yes I've been to them before and I'm booking him in to see them

Brilliant. At least if it turns out to be nothing, they will put your mind at rest.

It doesn't look broken to me, it looks like potential uneven wearing which could indicate problems at the back but then its hard to tell from a photo. I'd get him checked on the safe side especially if he's already under the weather

Hi everyone
Took him to the Cat and Rabbit vet who were very good. She suspects it could be an abscess in the upper jaw near the eye that had conjunctivitis . The eye is protruding a bit that the other side. She gave him some dental treatment as there were issues . She estimates it's been going on two weeks which ties in with what I noticed. She said he should take metacam for inflamoritory and it could clear up but he's not indicating any pain when examined. I go back in two weeks . He's eating and drinking and looks perky but I'm keeping a close eye on his eye and I've been told to go straight back if he deteriates
