Was just having a cuddle with my boy Marshmallow and noticed that one of his top front teeth was missing. The other was wobbly and then it wasn't there! I think he swallowed it as I heard a crunching sound am really panicking now. What should I do?!
UPDATE - the clever boy spat it out, I found it in his bed, phew! But I am still anxious about his lack of top front teeth, should I separate him from his hutch mate so I can check what he's eating?

Thanks. What about nuggets, will he be OK eating them or should I mash them? He joined us on October 6th and I divided the C & C cage for a few days while he got used to his hutch mate. He gnawed at the dividing pieces of C&C for a bit cause he wanted to get in with my other boar; quite possibly that's what loosened his teeth?

My old boar pips front teeth grew back almost to the proper length in 2 weeks, he died tho because of a different problem. I think they broke when he chewed a knot is his wooden hidey house. I found freshly picked grass to be a real help

Please check whether the incisors are still sitting firmly in the gum or whether they are loose. In the second case, they should be seen by a vet.
In the first case, your boy should still be able to pick up nuggets (which should only be 1 tablespoon per adult piggy per day). The tooth should regrow quickly.

If you are worried, switch from weighing once weekly to a daily weigh-in before dinnertime to monitor the overall food intake.

Thanks, folks. I will give his mouth a through check over when my husband gets home later, Marshmallow is a little wriggler so it'll be easier to do a proper exam with two of us! First indications from my check just then are the bottom teeth are sound and the top two broke cleanly.

Here at TEAS we have a number of piggies with permanently missing incisors and they all manage to eat nuggets just fine. They do tend to prefer the smaller ones, such as the Harringtons or Burgess Blackcurrant and Oregano ones.
I wish i knew you when pips broke. They were still there but only about 1mm. But he had 3 bladder stones at the same time and an infection, and he was 6. Was the worst time ever

Ah, that's so sad, sorry for your loss. They take a piece of your heart with you when they step over that rainbow bridge x
