Tell Me About Your Pigs

:) Digger was an enigma. Some days he will sleep peacefully, some he will be capsizing his boxes constantly, some days he will chatter none stop, some days he just sleeps in your arms. Some days he will sit on your nap and just keeps chatting at you.

Some days he will make life difficult for my hubby :), not wanting to be taken back to cage, not eating his veg, just making noise. Other days, he was considerate and sweet, just keeping quiet when I was ill and being sweet and loving.

Some days he will pick an imaginary fight with his cuddly toy, other days, he will sleep by its sides.

Some days he just looked downright confused (especially when I am on holiday and still in the house :)), sometimes he seemed really sharp minded (finds all his hidden veg within like 3 secs- one time took 30 minutes!)

I miss him dearly. If he is interesting? That I do not know, but he certainly made me laugh everyday :) I think that was his special personality.

I have three girls. One sits so you can pick her up and she chicken legs on you, one goes over and under my legs, grabs the brush and sits in the dustpan while you are sweeping up but won't let you pick her up the other one won't let you near her other than taking veg from your hand.

Of course he was interesting and I'm so sorry for your loss. Do you have other piggies?

No others. When I adopted him, I was advise he will fight with other guinea pigs and he has always been on his own. Not planning another as I am expecting as well. So might wait til baby is bigger then get another one. I just love them!

Congratulations @Huey Ling Tan :) Exciting times ahead xx

Sunrise used to literally play a game - she had plastic hidey, and if you put it on the settee with her she would flip it off with her nose, watch it fall and then wait for you to put it back, for her to do it again. She doesn't do it now. She's quite a brave and relaxed piggy.
Penny-Pops used to popcorn til exhausted, then lie on her side and carry on flipping herself about, whilst still on her side. She's still excitable. She follows Sunrise around and the two get on great.
Cloud (RIP) used to love sitting on my slippers nibbling at the bow, and loved sniffing my nose. She was excitable too.
Shadow (RIP) had no quirks really, but she had come from a neglectful family and I saw her personality slowly blossom. She was quiet most of the time, but when she did wheek it was seriously loud! She was the head of the herd, and a very gentle and caring leader.
Snowball (RIP) was intelligent and learned fast, but she was not always comfortable around other sows. She mothered Penny when she was tiny though. She developed a lovely bond with her husboar (Freddie) and liked people very much.
Freddie owns all he sees. He shows off at every opportunity and is for sure the most handsome pig that ever lived (so he believes). He's a bit timid on some ways but is getting braver, and likes an ear-rub. His swagger makes me smile though, he really does believe he is irresistible to all! Perhaps it's a boar-thing, I've never had a boar before Freddie. He will hint when he wants me to get the run out, and he popcorns as soon as he sees I'm doing so.
Oreo is very timid, slowly getting braver, but I think progress with her will be slow. She loves to follow Freddie around and likes to sniff me through the bars. She suddenly gets brave at food time and will snatch Freddie's food right out of his mouth. I know they all love to eat but I've never seen one quite as determined as her when it comes to food.

Nothing really quirky there, but all very distinct personalities.

Barney loves to play with a plastic ball that has a bell in it. I keep it for floortime for him and he charges after it, bashing it into everything, so funny:)
Alvin, my avatar, love to bury under his hay, I fluff it all up and he squiggle popcorns like mad and dives in, cute:)
they all have too many quirks to mention, I could use up a few pages telling you all lol:)

When the first entered their new home and after exploring it, Blossom sprinted through the tube and skidded at the end she then ran back to the bed area and almost tagged Midnight for her to then do the same! They went on like that for ten minutes it was adorable and they were clearly having soooo much fun!

Also when Ginger was in the run in summer, I would use to run the way round it and Ginger would follow me- there wasn't even food involved! All my guinea pigs had their quirks and each one adorable in their own unique way.
