Introduced the girls in a neutral space and it went well so we tied their cages together until I can find more grids to make a new C&C cage for them. We are literally tripping over this monstrosity lol

I've been looking for local sources for the grids (I had tons but my daughter moved put and was piggy sitting then got three of her own..
.soooooo my cage is gone and I just have their travel cages.

I have only found them on Amazon so far and I didnt like the prices. And I'm not a fan of adding to the Bezos empire right now when so many are struggling.

Here is what I have so far. Cat cannot get to them at all. I have plywood on top of the cage so he can't even sit on it and pop the upper door open (the only current access since the side doors are facing each other.

Excuse the mess. We are doing major rearranging to fit into a 700 sq ft apartment/flat.

There are grids on Amazon - some are storage grids. Just make sure they’re 9 holes and not 8. There are also some opaque ones.

I don’t know that it’s enough space unfortunately. The ramps from one to the other take quite some space. And there needs to be another hide in there. One each at minimum.

Could you put it up on a table so you have more floor space so to speak? And try guineapigcages.com

I actually spotted this the other day when I was buying some new correx for our C&C cage, they link to a place that sells the grids C&C Cages
Still not mega cheap but they look to be a smaller company and it avoids amazon!

I know it's not enough space. I'm trying to avoid Amazon like the plague right now and looking for local sources. He's made enough money off this pandemic while local businesses suffer.

I've made multiple cages in the past. I just need to find more appropriate sized grids. Bed Bath and Betond grids were way too big so we are hunting again.

Sadly no table. This apartment is tiny, but the end result will he large enough. Trust me. :)

You may not have a choice with regards local sources, unless you can get someone to custom make one. . You have to think about your piggies’ welfare. There’s Guinea pig cages which is located in Us. Have you looked at it yet?

If push comes to shove I will suck it up and order grids from Amazon. I am just taking a little time to see if I can support local businesses first. If I don't find any by my next pay check though, you are right. I may have no choice.

I don't need a custom build, though, when I have built many in the past. Before I moved here their cage was six ft long by 2.5 ft wide, with an additional loft. Trust me. They will be happy as clams when I am done.

This is just a temporary solution in their travel cages until I get the new one done.
