Temptation

are dalmation one of the ones that have health issues
No they don’t have health problems. They carry a recessive gene like Roans and can produce lethal piggies in their litters. Have a look on The Guides, there is an explanation of genetics and how this happens 😉

Thanks👍. I have read it before. Must have got mixed up in my head. Il have a look again

Gorgeous boy and what a special name :) Look forward to meeting him!
I wonder if the vet can neuter him so young though? Theo had to be 600g to be neutered, he was bullied too, then neglected, and was quite underweight... we had to feed him up a fair bit first... best pop Micah on the scales then get the oats out!

Thinking about pets at home adoption. I think this is just as right as gettiing from a rescue. Apart from, you are on your own with the healthchecking and neutering and bonding.

My P@H offers a free health check at their instore vets up to 10 days after adoption/purchase.
Cool, my two stores are not so good. It has never been mentioned when i adopted about 6 times now. Mainly gerbils though

He'll get his health check first and then I'll see if my vet is happy to neuter him yet.
If not he'll have to wait a bit longer to join the girls.

PAH are sending me a voucher for a free health check and a free neutering.
I'm choosing to use my own vet because I know and trust her.

Did you request this? When i got Bernie and Dot. (Two different pets at homes ) i got offered nothing atall. Even when i mentioned i might neuter Bernie.

I think il take back what i said before.

A true piggy lover. I feel that was rather quick, a new boy, new name, a vet and etc.
Glad he found a wonderful home. Micah will be very happy with a piggy loving slave and three girls to play with. :tu:

Congratulations and welcome to Micha. I got Bobby and Bailey from P@H rehoming. They were soooo matted but really friendly. They told me that they were 6 months old, which they clearly were not. They were fully grown, huge er.. packages, and big long thick curly nails. My other three are over 2 now and still have dainty little front claws.

Micah seems to be settling well.
He still spends a lot of time in one of his hideys but he is emerging more.
He’s eating well and nothing amiss in the poop department 😁

We have a vet health check booked for Monday so we’ll see what she says about neutering.

If we have to wait I’ll probably leave it until we move and use @PigglePuggle ’s vet as she recommends them highly.

I had a blitz on the piggy room so Micah can now live in there. He will be able to hear and smell the girls even if he can’t see them or get at them.

Brilliant news! You have landed on your paws little Micah. Can't wait to see more pictures and hear all about him. Oh Micah you are a lovely piggy and soon you will have some lovely wives.xx

I have everything crossed for him. I’m sure he’ll pass the health check with flying colours and then he’ll be on his way to make a fabulous companion for your girls 🥰

Well - what a transformation!

Micah moved into the piggy room although I haven't space to put the cage beside the girls. He can hear them and smell them

He was obviously aware of them and suddenly he was out, running, pop corning, and wheeking. We even had a bum wiggle.
What a wheek! He can rival Jemimah for volume.

He's so much happier now he has other piggies around.
I do hope he's big enough for neutering now so he only has to be alone for 6 weeks
