So when I first got my boys as part of training I taught that when I whistle my boys would receive food/mostly veggies at veggie time. So cute as a button when i whistle they start wheeking ready for their veggies!

However Whilst they were living in the living room and the TV would be on they then started to think that the ditty whistled in the Mcdonalds advert meant food too so every time the advert came on they wheeked!

At first I thought thats hilarious so I whistled it myself when feeding them .... Its not so funny now its really worn thin haha

Annoying advert!!

Has anyone else ever trained their pigs to respond to anything?

i trained mine to react to 'kissing' noises, but they already know veggies could be incoming as soon as I open the fridge door! Even if we just move around sometimes they'll start wheeking at us, I guess they think trying can't hurt!

When I shake the food around in the container they jump up onto the mesh wire and wheek. Also when I call them by their nicknames in a high-pitched voice, they know it's cuddle time :luv: Whistling's a great idea!

Girls, girls, girls used to send Cookie and Treacle into wheeks and running to the bars for tea! We haven't done that since and Cookie has forgot it now... lol

Mine have trained themselves that most things mean food. When they were in living room chopping food would mean food, tap also (due to rinsing veggies) come from kitchen to living room - now they liv upstairs in the spare room next to bathroom somehow the shower and also the toilet flushing means food

crazy pigs :lol!:

Any sound from me high pitched and it sets them off. Saying "yum, yum". The sound of my nails in wooden floor. The kitchen bin. Obviously veggie drawers of fridge and rustling bag, lol :)

I started a clicking sound which would and still does start them off but everything triggers the greedy lot now. Walking over the gravel in the garden, coming in the back gate, chopping stuff on a chopping board if the window or door is open, bags rustling, and sometimes even just me talking lol
