I came home from work Thursday night to find one of my girls had eaten a large portion of a plastic glove. I am so angry at myself. I use these to clean my cages each day. I must have left one on top of the cage and it fell in somehow. I didn't know which girl it was. There are 2 girls in this cage. The next morning I found Luna puffed up. Very few poops in the cage. She wasn't eating any hay. She did eat some lettuce and cilantro just fine. I called around and the only vet that could see her was an hour away. She was given an x-ray, metoclopramide, and metacam. She is nibbling at hay, eating her veggies, and fresh grass just fine. Her poops were small and mushy at first, but have for the most part been looking normal with the occasional odd ones here and there. Her activity is normal today. She didn't look great yesterday. Will I see the plastic come out in her poop? How long will it take for her to pass this? I am a mess. I have been syringe feeding her the last 3 days every 2 to 4 hours to keep things moving. I feel so awful.

Hello don’t feel bad. Accidents happen. You are doing everything you can to help her. Hopefully someone will come along soon with some advice. ❤️

Oh no how awful for you and what a shock, but don’t blame yourself piggies will eat anything! Sending heal vibes I hope Luna manages to all pass the plastic and is back to herself very soon x

Oh how awful you must feel right now. Piggies eat anything that they can get their teeth around. These accidents do happen. Healing vibes and wheaks being sent to you from me and my girls. Hope Luna is soon feeling better.

I'm really sorry. Accidents happen and this is a mistake you don't ever make again. Believe me...
Smaller amounts of plastic usually pass without too much problemes in my experience. With this much I really can't tell. But in my group they would have shared the snack. So keep an eye on the other piggy das well.
Best of luck! 🍀🍀

Sending lots of vibes, please don't blame yourself these things happen. Hope all is ok xx

sending my best wishes, I hope she will recover quickly
