So... Recently I rescued a baby, female Guinea pig for my Himi, Ruby.

Coral is very sweet, affectionate, and gets along great with Rubers. They play, snuggle, everything is great. There were no issues with their meeting... They play every morning. Noow I'm having some issues.

So, ever since day one of getting Ruby, I have taken her out just about every night to play and snuggle... I would like to do the same with Coral, but they don't get along when we all sit together. Ruby has a spot she really likes to sit on me, and when Coral comes along to snuggle, Ruby will give a very loud squeal and a nip. She doesn't bite hard, as she's accidentally tagged me a couple times instead of Coral, but I am worried that this might escalate so I've stopped bringing them out together. They get along great in their play pen, and this behavior only happens if they are both snuggling ON me. Could this be a territorial thing? And how can I fix it?

Thanks, guys!

I had the same situation with lap time when the baby joined my older boy. To me it seemed a territorial thing, so I just let them sort it out. Eventually each found their favorite lap spot.

MY boys are like that, so i just cuddle them seperatly. Its not worth the risk in my opinion, and its not fair to them. I want lap time to be enjoyable not stressfull for them :)

Well done for getting Ruby a friend. I would love to see photos of her.

Yes, I also do lap time separately for my boys. Firstly because the brothers aren't really friends with Batman yet, and secondly because the brothers do squabble a bit in their (3x3 C&C) space, so I want to make sure they get some alone time once in a while. :)

Thanks, everyone. I guess lap time will just have to be seperate for now on. I think Coral would like having some alone time. And Ruby will probably enjoy having her cage and toys to herself for a little while. They're so funny. When I wake up in the morning, Ruby gets super excited (their cage is in my room under a window so they get to have a little bit of sun and fresh air) and starts cooing and hopping around her cage. Coral was a little unsure of it at first, but now she joins in and they chase eachother around cooing and hopping. It's very cute.

Piggyfan, thank you. I'm hoping to get my camera out soon to take pictures of them.
