I bought a small bag of tescos everyday value meadow hay as it looked nice and green.
Once home I opened it up and my my my does it smell sweet and yummy.
Needless to say the boys went mad pop Corning and they were in the hay tray nomming away.

My question is is this ok to feed along side the Timothy hay?
I normally get the just for pets meadow fab hay.

Yes the Tesco hay is perfectly fine. I have bought this on 3-4 occasions when i have been short of hay by the end of the month.... its nice smelling hay - I always fish out the greenish coloured ones and always been very good- not had any problems... Much better than p@h own brand that i had to buy last month when i ran out- wont be buying that again.

It's £3.29 for the large bag but there isn't a weight, checked it online. It is always sold out in the Tesco I go to!

Oh ok thanks I may check it out and see if its cheap. I sometimes get morrisons one for litter trays but it is a bit variable

Weight doesnt really work for hay though as its all different densities and long strand hay doesnt get wasted as much if its in a hay rack. The large pack seems to last a good while with 2 boars nomming it up :-) Will weigh it if I buy it again, they're on timothy hay currently. For bargain timothy hay The Range do 3.5kg bags for about £4 and its decent too its what I feed the bunnies.
