Hi everyone

Does anyone have any nice texel piggie stories?

My baby boy had to go to heaven last week. Kidney and bladder stones :( I wondered if anyone else had experienced such health problems with the same breed?

He was such a character, very brave, extremely chatty! Always happy and would often prefer playtime to food?! I'm interested to know if anyone elses texel pig had similar traits to this that stuck out more than another breed?

Bilbo was a texel with a few issues, heart failure and bumble foot. He was the most laid back piggie I have ever known. He would let me put him on his back and rub his belly and chin lol even in the vet said shed never seen such a laid back piggie.

Frodo was also a texel, he was my free range piggie. He had a little box in the corner to poo in and would sleep in the curtains and wait next to my bed in the morning to be fed!
He also had heart issues.

Aww I don't half miss them both!
 
our Piglet was a texel cross. He had a few issues the poor thing. but he was like a mini dog. he would follow round the house prefer to play games instead of cuddle squeak alot and was a natural leader. unfortunatly he was only 14 months when he went to the bridge
 
Aww yeah I thought bilbo as frodo were like dogs! Bilbo was 6 and frOdo was 9!
 
They are a bit like dogs aren't they. Banjo wasn't one for long cuddles, he just wanted to be running around. He was only 18 months. My baby <3

I suppose health problems can be in any pig depending on their genes.
