My mum sent a text for my guinea pigs!
Hello Hector, how are you and your new wife Matalida, hope you're happy with your choice and are getting on well.
:))
I replied with It's Love! and by the way I'm fine as well, thanks. lol
I hadn't heard from her for a couple of weeks which made it even funnier coming out of the blue!
I'm going to have to start calling her granny!

My Mum gets me to talk to her dog down the phone....................rolleyes

Teresa xx

I regularly chat with my Cavy Corner sponsor piggy, G.P., on the phone.

Hahaha! Awwww bless, my mum and mum in law call our piggies 'The Grandpigs' :))

I'm looking after two of my mum's boars whilst she's on holiday, I send her regular texts saying things like....Stasky & Hutch reporting here, your daughter tried feeding us celery tonight! Is she trying to put us on a diet? Whee suppose the cucumber, pepper, carrots and green beans made up for it but wheee miss our wheeky good slaves! :))

I cam back from Focus today with wood for the hutch and I went 'heellllllooooo?' as I walked through the door my mum went 'We're out the back'.

She was crouched down feeding the boys lavender and chatting away to them. :)):))

My Mum has been called 'Grandma' to the piggies since I got Whisks and Noods 5 years ago - she knows it's the closest she will get with me, haha!

that's really sweet

my mum always walks past me with barely a hello and tries to steal my Marty Pig away from me. tee hee, bless her she can hardly walk but still goes out into the garden to get them dandelion leaves

parents are funny things aren't they

My whole family love my animals. Last year, my three older sisters came to stay with me for the weekend. I woke up to find they'd taken a cavy cozy each and each had a piggy in bed with them! That was not the first time that piggies had been taken to bed by my sisters (two of whom are over 50!) When I asked my older sister if she wanted my to bring anything special to my parents' for Christmas she said 'guinea pigs and guinea pig cozies!'.

My Mum loves my animals and recently pet sat whilst I went away for two nights. She rearranges her whole house so that the bunnies can free range like they do at home and the chinchillas can run up and down the dining room and have fun!

My Dad feeds the guinea pigs all the time when they are with them and they now really respond to his voice! He was also heard at Christmas to say to one of my chinchillas 'Hello chuchy face! Fancy a shreddie?' (you give them shreddies as treats!)

I'm glad I'm not the only one! :))
I think my mum's hoping that Matilda will be better behaved than my boys. Last time she came to visit she has Spike on her lap. He was happily being fussed and licking my mum's hand when he decided she tasted nice and bit her hand and pulled the skin as if he was trying to pull it off her!
I remember it so clearly, almost in slow motion! :))
She had just put hand cream on that was cucumber and something so I think that might be why!
She does like Gerry though because he comes up to her and chats to her, really sweet little squeaks like he's telling her what he's been up to.
