I was starting to think my boars were nocturnal you know?

We got them on Saturday and they've pretty much been hiding in their house since then, we managed to get them out for a bit whilst i had a bit of a clean up in there yesterday, they ran around the run for a while making what i'm pretty sure are "happy" noises (and we grabbed the opportunity to feed them some fresh veg) but as soon as that house was back in they went and hid again.

So today i made them a new run liner and i decided to lay it on the roof of the run because well, i had no where else at the time to put it and low and behold they are running around there like nutters now.

I'm so happy but feel so foolish, of course they didnt want to come out of the house before, there was 6ft of open ground for them to worry about!

so now they've got their hidy holes plus the extra protection of a cover on half of the run.

happy piggies and happy piggie-mum, finally i can stop worrying that i'll never see them.

Bless them, they just needed to feel safer! They may not be nocturnal but I bet they're into midnight snacks.....

That link will help you to distinguish their chatter x)

ahhhhhh they are rather nervous characters, once they get used to you and their new surroundings they'll be fine :)
They do like to have hidey's....... make some from cardboard boxes they also love to chew them :(|)

Thanks for the link cant get the wav's to work though!

I'm going to make them a permanent cover for the back end of the run so that they'll have it even when the roof is off.

I've got a tunnel in there now and an extra cuddle sack (big enough for two) in now too so hopefully that'll help them.

I've also made a lap-pad with cover on so that when it comes to us attempting cuddles they'll feel safer.
