It’s probably time for me to close the open tab to TPF as my piggie days have come to an end.

I joined before we got the Gruesome Twosome and the forum was instrumental in my choice to rescue as opposed to go to a breeder, to use C&C and in my care of them since. Whilst there is an element of genetic luck involved with lifespan, I think the advanced age that they both got to (7.5ish and 9ish) are testament to the care that they had and the bones of this was what I learned from here.

Thank you for the hand holding when they arrived and I was clueless, the advice over the years and the thoughts when Jenny was showing signs of her advanced age and imminent end. Even writing daft posts from Queen Jenny in GPU threads was immensely comfortIng when she was clearly reaching her limits.

I’ve loved my days as an owner of piggies, I’ve enjoyed my part in this community but it’s time for me to move on. I didn’t want to just disappear though without a thank you to the community and the team behind it that makes it happen.

Take care everyone, it’s been an absolute blast.

Lots of love from Claire and The Gruesome Twosome (God rest their lovely little souls)

I am sorry you have decided to move on. Your contributions to the forum have been invaluable in many ways. You don't have to have guinea pigs to be here and I do hope you will still come by occasionally to say hello.

I am very sorry to hear that you are leaving us 😞 you have been a great member of the forum.

You don’t need guinea pigs to be a member here and I do hope you will pop by from time to time to say hello. You will be missed

Take good care of yourself and thank you for all you have given to the forum over the years xx

Hiya Tigermoth, this is sad news. Please consider it again, it doesn’t matter if you have no Guinea pigs at the moment, just come on to have a giggle. I decided to stop keeping Guinea pigs when Tia died, but now I can’t relax without having any. I thought when Tia died my world had come to its end but that’s not the case.
if you do leave, (I hope not) consider still popping in now & again. Hugs to you xx

Aww @Tigermoth don't go :bye:

Please stick around it's always interesting reading your posts, it doesn't matter that you're taking a break from your gorgeous guineas, there are a few members that have stayed although not having guineas any more, not only will your experience & knowledge be missed, but we'll miss your posts on the forum generally :(

Hopefully 🤞🏻 you'll pop by every now and again?
I haven't posted much lately but I still enjoy the sense of community & friendship, even though I'm not as active as I used to be on here.

Hope you'll stay
Xx

Aww @Tigermoth I can only repeat what the others have said to encourage you to stick around and pop back in from time to time. We’ve loved having you as part of our friendly community and it would be such a shame to see you go. For many of us our piggy slavery days may be drawing towards a natural ending but that doesn't necessarily mean the end to our time on this forum. Please reconsider x

And thank you for being one of us, too, goodness knows we're an awkward bunch when we want to be! You'll be missed, and I'm glad it's not forever, forever's far too long a time.
