Last week, I was on holiday and because I have 7 boars, holiday care is a bit of a challenge. And also one pair has some extra care needs at the moment so I was so pleased that Val @worried val of york could help me by having the poorly pair to stay at her house!
She won't want me to make a fuss but it made a massive difference to know that they were having special care and I think they had a great time - especially mowing her lawn. Val had to give pain meds, top up syringe feed Theo and eye drops for Tea Cake. A vet trip was involved too!
Here are a couple of thank you pictures from the boys:-

Tea Cake in the little cosy bed you gave them!

Gorgeous Theo

The boys together grazing.
I only know Val through sharing a vet, BARC rescue (@pig in the city ) and this forum so it shows you that forum friends can be a great asset! Thank you Val.

Val really cares for piggies well, she is a great piggy slave! X

It was lovely to meet you Laura and your family. Theo is a real sweetie and once he got used to me things got a lot easier for both of us. Tea Cake accepted his daily eye treatment without a squeak. Thanks for the photos I would happily look after the twosome again. Amos is by himself looking a bit lost now without his live floor show in the nearby c and c run.
I agree what you say Laura about this forum. I have found the wealth of information and support given by long term members and even newbies to have been so helpful.
I will be messaging Barbara to check if I can foster two boars soon.
Take care Val x
