I just wanted to say thank you to all the advise I got last week regards cocos uri I changed the bisolvon to orally and started to ventilated her with the saline solution 3 times a day as well as the baytril and ronaxan from the vets I’m happy to say for the first time in 4 weeks for 48 hours we have no sneeze no wheeze no snot ..I have a much happier running around piggy 🐷 whoop whoop ....I shall be carrying on the routine for the next 2 weeks under doctors advise just to make sure it’s all gone but without your advise I would never of known of the bisolvon powder the ronaxan or the saline solution .. although are vets is good he’s not a exotic vets and it’s gone with my suggestions on what to try thanks to you guys

That's excellent news. Many of the good vets I have come across have been generalists rather than exotics. What I find makes a good vet in this circumstance is a willingness to listen and to learn which your vet clearly has. I hope this is the start of a great recovery for your piggy and hopefully that vet will also be able to help others from their new knowledge

You do not necessarily need an exotics vet; a general vet who is very considerate, open-minded and willing to learn and research can in some instances be worth more than an exotics vet for who guinea pigs are too mundane to be interesting.
