Junior Guinea Pig
8..8... Ive not been on here for quite awhile due to problems with my health and that of mr piggles who since last aug when i first got him i done nothing but take him to the vet nearly every month! Its a long story but basically mr piggles was a poorly guinea pig i cant stress enough that its vital to get your piggies to a piggy savy vet right from day one! Had it been possible to do this then i know mr piggles would still be here with me today instead of sleeping in the garden!
He got infection after infection, treatment after treatment til finally i was passed onto a diffrent vets who are all piggy savy back in dec, but for mr piggles it was just to late, you see where they never got on top of the infection it then spread into his ears, middle ear and skull! He had pus comming out of his right ear! Which i was treating since march! I was feeding him three times a day with critical piggy food via syringe, he developed a head tilt but the vets still thought he would pull through,
Enough was Enough last tuesday when mr piggles started to roll uncontrolable which was heartbreaking not to mention scary,as he whimpered out,
I phoned the vets ASAP and we took him straight down,i knew in my heart it was time to let him go to sleep and would have done so before had the vets not been so positive about my little guy,
But it broke my heart when i signed the document allowing for my Aminal friend to be put to sleep and gave him a long lasting cuddle to tell him i loved him before he was taken out back.......
Its just over a week now and i still miss him soooo much he was only 8mths old but made a huge impact on everyone that met him..
Be free little guy,be 110% healthy (which you never knew) and eat as many tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber as you can,and if your lonely go find Eugine and sweep who where my very first piggies from childhood i know your get on well with them as you were such a character and special boy who just loved to chase ball and take his little soft nemo toy everywhere he went! And loved being cuddled didnt like the picky up bit but once up you loved being out of your enclosure..
Run free mr piggles il never forget you lots of love mummy x
