when you've completely built your guineas new cage but have to wait two days for the aquarium sealant to completely dry before you can show your guineas their new home!
You've done a really neat job. I love home-made cages. Please give us another update when it's all set up and when the piggies get to enjoy their new space for the first time
There's a lot of cage building going on at the mo amongst members.... must be something in the air
Thank you! I hope they do! Gives Timmy a bigger area to run around in crazy circles... He runs so fast that guy haha plus they get to see out better rather than looking at bars, I was going to get a cc cage but that's why I didn't. I'll try and film/take photos of their first run in it!
My dad happened to have a plastic glass (plexi glass?) left over that he let me have, the wood is from b&q, it is a chip board coated in a white protective layer, not sure what it is exactly. I then screwed it all together and sealed it using aquarium sealant it's completely dried now but I am still waiting for my guineas to get here all new toys and fleece waiting for them!
The wood itself wasn't too expensive either, I think overall the wood cost just over £30, the sealant from pets at home for only £5! And we have wood left over that I could use in the future to build a loft!
Looking forward to pics of them moving in I've just done a similar new build with perspex front & love it... Wilbur has no dark corners to hide now i can see him from anywhere in the room .
