That money-draining feeling when you buy veggies…

I always remember a few years ago when I bumped into the occupational therapist from my work in the supermarket. She looked very approvingly at all the veg in my trolley and I still wonder if I should have admitted it was all for the pigs........

Too funny!

Next year I’m growing cucumber, romane lettuce, celery and bell peppers in huge tubs!
I already am, although the romaine isn't doing well I'm having more success with cos. Also growing carrots and french beans, herbs and loads more veg for humans. Not to mention the weeds, having piggies is a perfect excuse not to tidy the garden much. I cut grass with scissors every morning while the ground is too damp for the boys to go out and pick their own!

I sometimes wonder what people think when they see me putting piles of free newspapers in my shopping bag to line my boys cages. 😁
The security guard in one shop I go to is getting far too interested in me standing by the free paper stand. Have started sending my partner in there, don't want to get told off for taking too many! My partner has a daily bike trip to the station and various places to get free papers and leaflets so one more to his list won't hurt. :D
