When you have to sleep in the same room as the pigs for a couple of nights and Blitzen suddenly discovers just how much fun zoomies are as well!

That's great and all, mate, but could you maybe have put that off til next weekend? :mal:

Oh dear - sounds like a long night ahead.
Fingers crossed he eventually settles and you get some much needed sleep.

Somebody fell over somebody else (I didn't see who) so now they're both at it, lol. There's a joke in there somewhere, I just know it.

On the bright side, it is kind of cool that Blitzen's started to do it. He's never shown any inclination for it before, and he even copied Comet's basic circuit.

Lol those boys of yours love keeping you on your toes don't they?

Blitzen is currently sitting wheeking to himself. He's not sounding particularly happy with me. I don't know if I haven't fed him exactly what he wants...or if it's because he's parked himself behind the carrot cottage and thinks he's stuck. I think it might be both.

For all their faults, I love these eejits lol. Definitely looking forward to sleeping in my own bed again mind you.

LOL! When we first got Sundae, she slept in my room at the cottage because she was still on quarantine and we were keeping her on a different floor. I had no idea how loud a guinea pig could be at nighttime until then! Zoom zoom zoom, water bottle clicking, chew bars, chew hay, chew pellets, drink drink drink, repeat! It was the worst! Our hamster is terrible at night too (she keeps my daughters awake at night, so they move her to the hall where she manages to keep all of us awake instead), but I expect that as she is nocturnal! I had no clue guinea pigs could do zoomies in the dark without running into things, but apparently they can!

Well, they can, but apparently it's far more fun to run into each other. :))

We saw this a lot when we had blind Sundae. Something would spook Hadley and she would take off and knock poor Sundae right off her feet!

When I got the newbies they had been in quarantine for 2 weeks and vet checked before they came here, but I thought I would keep them away from Spike and Peanut for a couple of weeks to let them settle without hearing other piggies in the same room. The only space available was in my bedroom - they lasted 3 nights of 1am, 3am and 6am zoomies before they were moved to the sitting room. Me and sleep depravation do not go together at all, I swear piggies have inner clocks for zoomie time and food.
