Anyone else up in the wee small hours feeding poorly piggies or am I the only one sat up in a nightie that the Army could quite easily use as battle dress because it's got so many green streaks down it :o! and armed with a syringe full of foul smelling green gunge and a miffed piggy on my knee >:( who I have knocked out of bed sso that I can pour the contents of the syringe down his neck.

Must remember to put my dressing gown on in the morning when I go downstairs to collect the post otherwise my neighbours are going to wondering what the heck I have been upto in the night! 98)!

Still it's worth it if it helps poor Sweep get better 0:) :smitten:

Awww. Little Sweep. :smitten:

I am here alone now, 6.30 am. Can't sleep.

Aww poor sweep :smitten:

I'm up now just wakng myself up with a cuppa then geting ready :)

Its afternoon here, :D

I have been up late tending to sick epts before though. Hope your piggy feels all better soon.

I was up at that time but busy changing a bed big son was very ill in the night :'( and is still curled up on the sofa if he nods off I am going to get my head down as I am at work till midnight :-\
Hope sweep feels better soon

Wish I'd known you were around I could have done with a chat. Hubby has just gone to Switzerland for two weeks and I hate it when he's not around at night :(. Needless to say I spent all night tossing and turning, was flipping freezing too, missing my big cuddly hot water bottle ;D.

Hope Sweep is ok and I hope your son feels better soon Pumpkinpiggie - try to get your head down for a quick cat nap.

Hope Sweep gets better soon . .. . and your son Pumpkinpiggie, we've all had a vicious sickness bug, it floored the whole family, hope you don't all get it

That's what I love about all the folks on this forum - all as piggy loving nuts as me ;D ;D

Sorry, 4am is definitely middle of the night for me. I did sleep on the sofa one night when guinea was ill though.

Hope guinea is better.

I remember when i was having to get up at 6am (not as bad as 4am but was bad enough for me) to syringe feed Chessie when she was old. What made things worse my parents had gone away and i was left on my own having to cope. The vet wanted to put her to sleep (although she was still quite happy for an old piggy, just not eating as much) and a week later she was better and went on to live at least another year

I had a beautiful Sheltie sow who had a stroke (! yes it's true - the Vet's receptionist even tried to tell me GPs "can't have strokes" - nincompoop 98)) and I had to syringe feed her every two hours! Blimey it was worse than having a baby (or so I'd imagine!) but she pulled through and much to my delight and the Vet's amazement she lived a few more years. TLC is a wonderful healer :smitten:

Is it the stuff from the vet that comes in a silver packet that you have to mix with water,, science diet is it?

I had that a yes it stinks and stains , so i hope it is not a best nighty
