Update, all the girls are doing really well and beginning to take treats from my hand! Oatcake (I decided on that name!) is the loudest guinea pig I’ve ever met. I had a neighbour shout at me to shut them up at 5:30 this morning as I was in work for 7... oops! She’s so loud! From that tiny mouth! I thought Smudge (RIP) was bad 😂
 
My Smokey is really really loud! Bacon is quiet, and Smudge (RIP) was too
 
I love the name. Well done on getting them to eat out of your hand already.
As for the littlest being the loudest, it's the same in this house, we call it little pig syndrome!
 
It’s great until I have to be awake at 4:30 to feed them for an early work start! Haha! Bless them. Only Toast is brave enough to come for my hand to get food! Beans is very timid and won’t even leave the igloo much of I’m in the room, but Oatcake is... oh my gosh it’s so funny 😂 the minute I rustle a bag she’s wheeking her head off, I turn around and ZOOOOMMM into the nearest hide to just stick her nose out and continue!

I’m honestly loving having guinea pigs again! Though it was hysterical on my graduation day hiding the cage from my parents 😂 Lewis (not sure if I mentioned him before! Not exactly sure what we are right now, but we’ve lived together previously and aiming to get a house together once he graduates next year!) is all for them, though apparently I need to keep them in my room and for the love of pigs nowhere near the fridge... he says, coming into my flat to have dinner (cheeky whatsit, he lives upstairs and can cook better than me!) and grinning at them like a madman as they’re squeaking!
 
Good news; I now have a tumble dryer and fleece is now an option! When....I’m paid...I got 15 to last another week... yeeeaaaah -

I was looking at the guineadad range - I know I’m going to need 2 sets, but I might need to get one a month sort of thing? Just wanted to ask what you guys use. I can’t hang up anything outside, so I need to be able to tumble dry or use my good old heater airer of joy 😂 any suggestions please would be great! They’re not sneezing anymore so I’m pretty sure it was the hay, but I’m thinking fleece will save me money in the long run and be a lot cleaner and nicer!
 
My fleece arrived! They now have a fancy new bedding option! Of course I had to choose the rainbow stars!

My next step is to swap the plastic igloos for more wooden hides, I’ve got some tunnels on order too! I’m also getting rid of the big wooden hide at the back and replacing with a wooden house type thing instead, as well as getting more hay bags!

I just made the piggies an instagram! Considering I can't post about them on my personal Facebook or anything like that (I think my parents will actually end me....they still don't know about them! They're hidden every time they visit...), I still wanted to make somewhere I can show my babies off <3

Literally made it ten seconds ago but I'm amaipiggies, anyone else have piggy based instagrams?

Lovely looking cage Set up. Strangely devoid of poop so I’m guessing this was immediately after set up and before the little darlings christened it?

Haha, yep! They were still inside the carry case as I was cleaning and this was literally immediately after I’d set everything down before I’d let them loose! No longer looks like that in the slightest 😂
 
I’ve been away to DisneyLand Paris this weekend (and left my babies behind! Horrible Mummy, I know). The babysitter, aka my very-obvious crush but let’s say we’re very close wasn’t very good with the instructions of spot clean the fleece every day! But they’ve now been freshly cleaned and lots of veg. They were fed brilliantly, he’d even gone and got them fresh carrot ends from the market in the Arndale! But they’ve very happy to see me, Toast even came up and nuzzles my finger with her nose.

Hi there everyone,
Beans and toast are gorgeous and cute. I love the names people have mentioned.I named my girls from open my herbs and spice cupboard in the kitchen. Looked at there colours. Nutmeg, Clover,Saffron.
 
I think the piggies would complain about me as a slave you know 😂

First of all, I don’t give them their beloved kale, as I decided their highnesses could really benefit to stop being so picky! They are now unhappily eating celery and broccoli stems.

Second, I gave them all their first dreaded nail clip! How dare I! Lots of inpatient squeaks and wriggles. I think I skimmed Bean’s quick as she wriggled just as I cut, and her highness was very upset with me! Luckily, not too bad and just had to fit with her on my lap squeezing the nail for a bit... no amount of cuddles or extra food will make her forgive me, it’s been two days! I’m sorry, miss Beans!

Next up, they are very upset I’m preparing to go back to something called “University” as well as “work”. So no more feeds throughout the day on my days off! They’re also very grumpy as I asked if the highnesses could please stop being so fussy and give another brand of hay a go. The slave sadly can’t work as many hours anymore and £9 a bag of hay for these divas - did I say divas, I meant the royalty of course - is a bit expensive! The royal piggies already eat a lot better than I do, with them having quality hay and all sorts of yummy veggies and treats and I’m over here eating a pot noodle and bread and butter 😂

How dare the slave treat us like this?! They cry, having just had a massive breakfast which includes their daily nugget allowance with forage sprinkled on top, a small portion of parsley and celery forage, a massive top of of their King Alfalfa Hay, and an entire bag of coriander for while I’m gone! They were also furious! Toast and Oatcake had to learn at some point that the human’s hands aren’t there to hurt, and instead of walking away and simply watching them eat, the human offered it to them on their hand! They had to climb into my palm to take the food, how dare?! Toast decided it was time for the Human to be able to stroke her for the first time without getting her out of the cage first, and a royal boop.

Off to Blackpool today! 😂😂😂
 
The piggies are so not happy with me as I dared to change their hay! Haha! Once they’ve gone through this bag I’ll put them back on King Alfalfa. They’re having more fun tearing it out all over the floor right now!
